I'm a freelance copywriter with 5 years of experience. Currently, I’m the Creative Marketing Manager (aka sole copywriter) for Amazon’s Strategic Account Services, where I’ve developed the brand voice and written all copy since 2022. You can read samples of my work at my portfolio.

I’m looking for clients in CPG, food & beverage, and B2B primarily — though my biggest goal is working with kind people who love good writing and telling a strong brand story regardless of niche.

Connecting with your audience through storytelling & empathy

A good copywriter is more than a good writer: they’re a thoughtful marketer, they have business savvy, and they can get into the minds of their customer base via empathy and emotional intelligence.

This mindset guides the work I do.

Empathy is my superpower

As an empath through and through, my specialty is adapting to different tones. This might look like writing formally for a business audience, heart-centered for a meditation audience, or humorously for a holiday gift guide.

Because I can put myself in almost anyone else’s shoes, I can use that lens to consider what the audience needs from any piece of writing. Thanks to that, I regularly receive feedback that I’ve improved the process, made the customer feel reassured, and built more trust.

Delivering results

  • Grew the average open rate for a Prime Day email campaign to 37.1%, up from 21% the year before. 

  • Wrote an an email campaign for a struggling program that increased their conversion by 570%.

  • Developed an intake process to get people their writing on average 5 days sooner.

  • Wrote social media copy for a photographer client that resulted in a 100% increase in sales, month-over-month.

  • Rewrote the entire website for a B2B SaaS client that boosted their conversion rate by 27% the first month after debuting.

I know freelance creatives get a bad rap for being flakey, but I’m on a mission to prove that writers can be equally analytical and creative. (Just please don’t ask me to do math.)

A writing philosophy

I work with companies that have a strong product and aim to improve the lives of their customers. My best work comes from partnering with people who stand in integrity, don't like misleading tactics, and stand behind quality not quantity.

I always aim to bring more to the table than "just" writing. In order to tailor content to the end goal and avoid an asset that's just good enough, I work to understand your entire business and marketing strategy.

My career started in television production and public relations, experiences that have informed my writing style even today. Working in the news taught me to write clearly and have all your facts buttoned up. Working in late night television taught me to write in a funny and engaging way. And public relations taught me to write persuasively, to find the nugget of gold and shine it up for journalists.
